Notice for People in a Recorded Conversation

1. What happens to what you say

AirBubble records only after the person using it starts it, and it shows them that it is recording until it stops. While it runs, it hears the conversation through their Mac and turns what is said into a written transcript, then a summary. The speech goes to the transcription and model services listed on our subprocessors page to do that.

The notes can label what you said with your name, as the call app shows it.

The person recording is responsible for getting your agreement wherever the law requires it. Our terms say so, and the app reminds them each time.

2. What is kept, and where

• No audio is kept, on their Mac or on our servers.
• The transcript and the summary stay on the Mac of the person who recorded, encrypted, until they delete them. One tap deletes a conversation.
• Our servers keep none of the conversation. They keep only how long the recording ran, as a usage record on the account of the person who recorded.

3. What is never done

• We do not train models on what you say, and neither do the services that transcribe and summarise it.
• AirBubble keeps no voiceprint of you and never recognises you from one conversation to the next. Within one recording, it tells voices apart by how they sound, on the Mac and in memory only, and forgets that when the recording stops.
• We do not sell what you say, or use it for advertising.
• AirBubble never hides that it is running. It appears on screen like any other app.

4. What you can ask for

If you would rather not be recorded, say so to the person taking notes. They can stop, and they can delete the notes with one tap.

We hold none of the conversation, so the notes can only be deleted on their Mac. For anything else, write to privacy@airbubble.io and we will answer. Our privacy policy has the full detail.
