What this site puts in your browser, and what the app keeps on your Mac.
Two separate things, and this page keeps them apart. The website is a website: it can set cookies, and it currently sets none. The Mac app stores settings and your notes in an ordinary application folder. That is local application state, not a cookie, and no website can read it.

Three things that are true before you read a single clause.
They describe how the site and the app are built today, not what we intend to try to do. If any of them stops being true, this page changes before the change ships.
This site sets no cookies today
No analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker in these pages. The table below lists the categories we would ever use and the limits each is held to.
The app’s state is not a cookie
Settings, your sign-in token and your Notetaker library live in a normal application folder on your Mac. Nothing on the web can read them, and they are not sent anywhere to be counted.
None of it is for advertising
The website has no ad network, no cross-site profile and no fingerprinting, and neither does the app. We do not sell what either one stores.
1. Who this notice is from
In this notice, AirBubble, we and us mean the company that makes the AirBubble app for macOS, runs the hosted gateway it talks to, and publishes this website. You means the person reading this page or using the app.
The registered entity name, company number and registered office are not final, and are left out here rather than guessed. This notice sits alongside the privacy policy, which covers everything else we process.
2. Two different things
Almost every confusion about cookies comes from mixing up a website with an application. They are not the same here, and this notice never treats them as one.
- This website: the pages you are reading now. A website can store small files in your browser: cookies, local storage and session storage. Section 3 is the complete list of what this one stores.
- The Mac app: the thing you download. It keeps its settings, your sign-in token and your note library in an application folder on your own disk. That is ordinary application state. It is not a cookie, it is not readable by any website, and no browser setting governs it. Section 5 lists it anyway, because you should be able to see it written down.
3. What this website stores
As this notice is written, these pages set no cookies at all: not a necessary one, not an analytics one, not an advertising one. The site is static pages and a newsletter form.
The table is still here because a promise is easier to hold when it is written as a limit. It lists every category we would ever use, what it would be for, and how long it would last. If a row moves from “none set” to a real cookie, that cookie is named here first.

The fonts on this site are loaded from a third-party font service, which means your browser makes a request to it and that service sees the request the way any server sees a request for a file. It does not set a cookie for us and we get nothing back from it.
4. Analytics
We do not run analytics on this site today. No vendor has been chosen, so none is named here; naming a plausible one would be a guess, and a guess in a notice like this is worse than a blank.
When we do add analytics, we will hold it to these limits, and this section will say which vendor:
- Page views and referrers, not a profile of you across other sites.
- No advertising network gets the data, and it is not joined to anything in your AirBubble account.
- The vendor is added to the subprocessors page before it receives its first request.
- Where consent is required for it, we ask first, and refusing changes nothing about how the site works.
5. What the app keeps on your Mac
None of this is a cookie. It is application state, on your own disk, in the folder macOS gives an app for that purpose. It is listed here so that “we use no advertising cookies” is not doing quiet work for something else you would want to know about.

Screen recording, microphone and accessibility access are macOS permissions, not storage. macOS holds those decisions, not us. You can withdraw any of them in System Settings at any time, and the app loses that capability immediately.
6. What never becomes stored data
The parts of AirBubble that people ask about most are the parts that leave nothing behind on either side. This is the short version; the privacy policy has the full account.
- Screen frames. One frame of the display your cursor is on, taken at the moment you release fn ⌃. It is used to answer that question and is not written to disk as an image, by the app or by the gateway. There is no timer and no background capture.
- Speech. While a chord is held, audio is streamed through our gateway to a transcription vendor so your words can become text. The text is what the rest of the system works from. The audio is not kept afterwards and is not replayable by us.
- Agent runs. The agent is opt-in and sits behind four consent gates, all of which must pass before one click is sent: the request has to come from a trusted frame, Agent Mode has to be on, you have to confirm that specific run, and an environment switch has to be armed. Switching Agent Mode off stops a run already in flight. What a run leaves behind is a record of the steps it took. That record is for your audit, not for anyone's advertising.
7. What we do not do
These are commitments, not descriptions of a current state we might quietly change.
- No advertising cookies, on the site or in the app. The app is not a browser and serves no ads at all.
- No cross-site tracking. Nothing we set is designed to follow you to another site, and we embed no third-party tracker that would.
- No fingerprinting. We do not build a device identifier out of your fonts, canvas, screen size or extensions, here or in the app.
- No selling or sharing. We do not sell what the site or the app stores, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- No joining the two. Website storage and your AirBubble account are kept separate; we do not link what you read here to what you ask the app.
8. How to clear it
The website. Your browser can clear stored data for one site at a time. The control is normally under privacy or site settings, listed against airbubble.io. Clearing it breaks nothing here, because nothing on these pages depends on it. A private window works too: it discards whatever a site stored when you close it.
The app. Signing out removes the sign-in token. Deleting a Notetaker session removes it from the library on your Mac. Clearing a conversation removes the derived text that let a follow-up question make sense. Moving the app to the Trash removes its settings and cached resources with it.
Local deletion does not reach our servers. To have the account-side copies removed as well, delete your account, or write to privacy@airbubble.io. The privacy policy sets out what that covers and how long it takes.
9. Consent, and why there is no banner
You are not being asked to accept cookies on this site because there are none to accept. A banner that only asks permission for itself wastes your time and trains people to click through consent without reading it.
If we later add storage that is not strictly necessary (analytics is the likely one), we will ask before it runs, in the places where the law requires asking and in the places where it is simply the decent thing to do. Declining will leave the site working exactly as it does now, and you will be able to change your mind either way.
10. Changes to this notice
When we change this notice we change the date at the top. If we start setting a cookie we did not set before, or add a vendor that receives data from these pages, we will say so here before it happens rather than after, and the earlier version will stay available so you can compare them.

Cookies are the small question. The screen is the big one.
The privacy policy says what leaves your Mac when you hold the chord, where it goes and how long it stays. The trust centre says the same things without the legal framing.
